PFA is a melt processable copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and perfluoroalkyl vinyl ether with superior electrical properties, superior creep resistance at high temperatures, excellent chemical resistance to solvents, acids, and bases, and operating temperatures similar to PTFE up to 260°C (500°F). Typical applications include high-temperature wire and cable insulation or jacketing, cast film, and tubing and injection molded parts for high temperature harsh chemical environments.
