What is FEP?
FEP is a melt processable copolymer of hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene with superior electrical properties, excellent chemical resistance.
FRL FEP is UL recognized (QMTM2 type – file E346136) for use at 100% in wire and cable insulation and jacketing.
Operating temperatures:
Up to 200°C (392°F)
Typical applications:
- High-temperature wire and cable insulation or jacketing
- Insulation for plenum-rated data cables, cast film, and tubing
- Injected molded parts for high-temperature, harsh chemical environments
